Wedding Gown Preservation Cost: $600–$1,500 Honest Guide
Your Wedding Dress Is Worth Saving. Here’s What Heirloom-Grade Preservation Actually Costs
Your wedding dress probably cost more than your first car. It carried champagne stains, hugged your grandmother, danced through a first kiss, and walked out of the venue at 1 a.m. wrapped in a hotel bedsheet because nobody had thought to bring a garment bag.
Right now, it’s probably balled up in a closet somewhere getting more yellow every day.
We talk to brides six months after the wedding all the time. The conversation is always the same: “I keep meaning to clean it. How long do I have?”
The honest answer is less time than most people think. Champagne, sweat, lipstick, and even invisible food residue begin yellowing fabric within 60 days. Beadwork oxidizes. Tulle becomes brittle. Silk weakens at the points of fold. The dress that took you a year to find can be quietly ruined in three months of neglect.

Why we don’t quote a flat price
Honest answer: a $1,200 gown and a $12,000 gown should not get the same treatment. Online “$249 flat-rate preservation” services exist — they ship your dress to a warehouse in another state, treat every dress with the same chemistry, and seal it in a box you cannot open without voiding the warranty.
That’s not heirloom-grade. That’s storage with marketing on top.
We use GreenEarth silicone-based technology — eco-friendly, non-toxic, and gentle enough for vintage silk. Every gown is inspected in-person, spot-treated by hand for the specific stains it carries, and sealed in an acid-free archival chest with a viewing window so future generations can see what you wore on your day.
What to do this week if you just got married
Don’t dry-clean it at a regular cleaner. Standard PERC solvents can yellow silk and damage beadwork. Get a preservation specialist.
Drop off (or schedule pickup) within 30 days. Stains have not yet set. Cost will be lower. Outcome will be better.
Get your free estimate first. No commitment. Tell us about your dress, send a photo, and we’ll quote your specific gown — not a flat rate.
